We can do so much good by planting native plants and edible goodies in our gardens. Unfortunately though, the norm is for starter plants to be grown by nurseries or individuals in plastic pots.
Here's a way to get around that.
The Pot Maker helps you make old newspapers into pots for your plants--they're compostable so when your seedling is ready to go into the ground, you can plant your pot along with it.
It's incredibly easy to use and doesn't require any glue to make perfect little pots for starters or transplants, just the palm of your hand and Sunday's paper.
We've got Pot Makers in the store now (19.99).
And, here are 15 steps to growing from seed from Kitchen Gardeners International to get you started.

Interesting, I think I will try it. I found them for sale at seedandgarden.com for 12.95!
We hope that if you're an L.A. local you'll come into the store instead and support our independent, green business.
Happy potting!
Unfortunately, I'm on the other side of the country in Michigan. Your price is probably less when the shipping cost is entered into the equation. Can I ask who is the manufacturer of the paper pot maker that you sell?
Hi Kurt--
It's actually just Pot Maker.
You can find one online here:

Happy planting! And, do come visit us if you come to Los Angeles. :)
